The video loop feature allows you to do continuous recording till the card is full then it will systematically start to overwrite your video from the beginning with the newer portions. A great little ability when you're waiting for a special event/moment that you can't risk pausing the video to format the card or make other space. ^_^
Best 4K Action cam settings from an actual photographer with inside-out knowledge of how a camera works
I just got this 4K Action Cam. It has similar features to my GoPro Hero 4! Not as solid or heavy as the GoPro and the audio is weak but otherwise works fine for 1/3 of the price! Am also using all the mounting accessories in the bundle for my GoPro, except for the battery, charger and external mic. The 4K Action Cam is an excellent value for the price for the beginner
Thanks for the help and info on this, I got this today, but it seems to be a slightly different version. I've a few issues with it already. 1. I can't seem to zoom in or out on the video. 2. The shutter button doesn't exit settings like it's supposed to do and 3. It goes straight to camera mode unless I set video mode to 4K. At the moment I will probably be sending this camera back, but in case you or anyone else can help, thought I'd ask first.
LOOP VIDEO: means that you can set the time option for the cam to record a video. Say you set the timer for 5 minutes, the camera records in a loop of 5 minutes each and it continues to record and once the micro card is full the first recorded video is automatically erased and it overwrites on that.
EXPOSURE: Exposure is the amount of light that reaches your camera's sensor, creating visual data over a period of time. That time period could be fractions of a second or entire hours. The right exposure is a balancing act. Overexposure leads to overexposed highlights and faded-looking images.
loop record allows your camera to overwrite old files with new files. Once the memory card becomes full, the camera will delete the first video file to make room for the latest file
Yes you can get external mics. I went all over for this and it wasn't mentioned in the paperwork with the camera, but it does work. Usb port jack to 3.5 jack input.
The loop record can be used as a dashcam in car, on bike or on your body when you have accident or archive a stunt etc. you can edit the footage or use as evidence.
Thank you for your videos. I have a question. I use my two cameras (one forward one backwards) on my touring motorcycle. I am looking to increase the run and record time to go for hours. Can you use an external high capacity USB battery with USB cable to the camera to let power the camera or just charge the internal battery on the fly as it runs down?
The looping video is for when the camera is used as a dashcam, cause max capacity is 32Go, so it can keep recording without end by going in looping
Having a 4k video is always good. Video and audio are perfect with DJI action 2 which I just bought for my friend.
Loved your review thanks. I do a lot of long runs and long bike rides that I'd like to record in full so the maximum time limit of 25 mins after which time the camera will automatically stop recording is way too low. Having to re-start recording manually is not really an option while on the move. Is there anyway of overriding that?
Audio underwater can be recorded with Hydrophone ext. microphone, but you you need ext. recorder for doing that. You can get them also pretty cheap today.
great job. I just bought a pair of these, and have a question. The instruction manual i received says i can install a micro card to 64 Gb, but some places say 32 Gb. In your vid you used a 16 Gb. Does the size and quality of the micro increase the time of the loop vid feature? 5 mins option on the camera is not what I expect with a 64Gb micro extreme plus san disk designed for 4K vids. I am using the cams for my motorcycle and auto dash.
Is it possible via settings to change the camera's orientation, such as rotate by 90 degrees?
The upside down option is used if you hook it up to a drone upside down (like I do). It's s nice feature!
I like informative tutorials like this. User friendly DJI action 2 is easy to navigate I must say.
Thanks a lot for the video. I bought this two years ago for my daughter, and we don’t know how to use it until I watched your video. A big help indeed!
Very informative tutorial, just one question, how to delete film clips? When the camera is connected to the pc one can delete clips but is there also an option to delete clips with the camera software?
